This family of beetle is easily recognized by its long snout and L-shaped antennae ending with small clubs at their extremities. The size range from 1 mm to 40 mm with an estimated population of 60,000 described species worldwide. It is considered the largest of the beetle family.

Eupholus genus of the Curculionidae family is definitely the most fun to collect. They are small colorful weevils mostly found in Papua New Guinea, West Irian and neighboring islands. They are found in multiple arrays of colors varying from baby blue to intense green.
